Purpose and contribution to company strategy
The IT Manager sets and executes the global IT strategy, enabling a robust, secure, and scalable technology environment for all employees across AMER, EMEA, and APAC. This leader shapes both day-to-day operational excellence and medium- to long-term innovations, including IT security, compliance, device management, and cloud solutions. The role seamlessly blends strategic planning with hands-on leadership and delivers high-impact outcomes in an international and culturally diverse context.

Key responsibilities
As IT Manager, primary responsibilities include:
- Set up and lead a global IT support organization operating seamlessly across AMER, EMEA, and APAC time zones, ensuring continuous high-quality end-user support and incident management.
- Implement and manage a global Windows image across all company-owned devices, upholding a Windows-only policy while developing targeted policies for Mac user management.
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to phase out non-company-owned devices gracefully, ensuring robust transition and user adoption.
- Drive IT security initiatives, implement compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, SOC2), and oversee risk management in technology deployments.
- Align all IT initiatives with overall business goals, collaborating with stakeholders in Compliance, Risk, Finance, and other business functions.
- Coordinate and lead IT teams and projects distributed over multiple time zones, using structured project management methodologies for global deadlines and resource management.
- Act as the primary point for vendor and external IT partner management, including phased outsourcing transition, smooth knowledge transfer, and contract negotiation.
- Guide internal IT administrators and office managers through transition phases, empowering them to contribute to a centralized global IT function.
- Shape and implement clear, practical AI policies, ensuring responsible and strategic adoption of AI technologies alongside security programs.
- Provide expert support and leadership in Microsoft AAD, Azure cloud services, and Microsoft 365 environments across regions.
- Foster a culture of change management, guiding teams through transformation projects and consistently communicating updates and best practices.
- Extract and deliver actionable data insights for reporting, operational planning, and decision support.
- Maintain high standards in documentation, policy communication, and stakeholder engagement.
Required hard skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft AAD and Azure cloud infrastructure
- Global Windows image management and endpoint security
- Mac device management in mixed environments
- Compliance frameworks: ISO/IEC 27001, SOC2, GDPR, etc.
- Structured project management across multiple time zones
- ITIL or comparable service management methodologies
- Vendor management and contract negotiation
- AI policy design and technology integration
- English (fluent); Dutch (professional proficiency)
- Data analysis and reporting for IT operations
